evec and Monta join forces to support UK EV targets

evec and Monta partner to supercharge affordable EV infrastructure in the UK

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve partnered up with the UK’s number one EV charging platform, Monta, to enable affordable and accessible charging across the UK. By providing high-quality, value-driven EV chargers that are powered by Monta, our goal is to support the UK’s EV charging targets and help meet the goal of 300,000 charge points by 2030.

What will the partnership mean?

All evec chargers will now be shipped with Monta software automatically enabled, as part of the powered by Monta programme. This means our customers will be able to join and use Monta’s roaming network of over 280,000 charge points across Europe so each EV driver can charge at home, work, or on the go.

Stephen Johnson, CEO at evec comments:

“Sustainability is core to everything we do at evec, and in partnering with Monta we hope to not only accelerate our own carbon reduction but to accelerate the decarbonisation of transport in the UK. Electric vehicles offer a huge opportunity to create a greener future in the UK, and evec and Monta will be a huge part of this transition. We’re confident that our high quality, value-conscious charge points combined with Monta’s innovative software solutions will enable a new influx of drivers to transition to EVs.”

Monta for businesses

The Monta software makes viewing, managing, and setting up charge points for employees, guests and customers easier than ever before. Users, power usage pricing and access can all be managed easily through the Monta app.

Monetising your chargers is also simple with Monta. Businesses can charge £/kWh or £/min and setup multiple groups with different pricing to suit their usage. Monta also supports all payment methods in including google pay and apple pay.

Monta at home & on the move

Not only will our customers be able to use charge points across Europe, but they’ll be also able to reserve charge points in advance to make their journeys a breeze.

Through peer-to-peer charging, homeowners can also share their chargers with a community of EV drivers as an extra income source. By connecting their personal EV chargers to the app, evec charger customers can view their charging history, manage access to the charge point and create a pricing structure that works for them.

Alok Dubey, UK Country Manager of Monta, comments:

“The UK is hugely lagging in EV charger installs, so it’s important that partners like evec are providing accessible ways to charge for residential and commercial users. By joining the Powered by Monta programme, evec ensures that all charge points can be intelligently managed and that each evec customer will have access to the best of Monta’s software and features.”
