vecFLEX explained
How does vecFLEX work?
vecFLEX works by connecting your evec charger to Grid Services programmes in the UK which help balance grid supply and demand as the UK transitions to renewable energy and the electrification of heating and transport.
All you have to do is sign up, set your schedule and your car will be charged during your normal hours.
The only difference to how you charge now is that your charging may be stopped briefly during high-demand periods or during tests to reduce the strain on the grid. These adjustments are minimal and temporary and they won't impact your ability to charge up.

What vecFLEX will and won't do
Will I still have a full battery when I need it?
Absolutely! Your charging will always be prioritised
Will my charging be paused every night?
No. Your charging will only be paused when the grid needs flexibility.
Can I stop vecFLEX?
Yes, you can opt out anytime by emailing vecflex@evec.co.uk or you can override vecFLEX by switching to manual mode (not recommended).
Will vecFLEX cost me anything?
No - you're being rewarded for supporting the grid, not charged.
